Champlin Park Softball Wins First-Ever State Championship
With a 6-0 shutout over Bloomington Jefferson, the Champlin Park softball team claimed their program’s first-ever state championship, winning the class AAAA title.
The Rebels did most of their damage in the fourth inning.
Ava Parent and Hannah Husom both connected on back-to-back 2-RBI base hits.
Marissa Rothenberger pitched a complete game shutout, throwing six strikeouts, and allowing three hits.
The Rebels finish their season with a 24-2 record.
