CCX Create is more than just a public access TV station—we’re a growing Community Media Arts hub designed to empower creators of all backgrounds. Whether you’re an artist sharing your vision, an educator exploring digital storytelling, a nonprofit looking to amplify your message, or a young person with something to say, we provide the tools, training, and support to bring your ideas to life. From podcasts and video series to short films and social media content, CCX Create is your launchpad for producing impactful, high-quality media for any platform.
Step 1: Attend a Free Orientation
Your journey begins with a free, one-hour orientation session. You’ll learn how CCX Create supports your media goals and discover the resources available to help you succeed. Once you’ve attended orientation, you’ll officially become a CCX Create member!
Membership Details:
- Membership is open to everyone.
- Residents of Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Crystal, Golden Valley, Maple Grove, New Hope, Osseo, Plymouth, or Robbinsdale, MN, can use our resources to create content free of charge (training required).
- Non-residents can join with an annual membership fee of $75 (or $100 for a family of up to four members).
How to Sign Up:
Sign up online using the links below or email us or call 763.278.4330 to register. Please include your name, city, phone number, and the orientation date you’d like to attend. Don’t forget to bring proof of residency (such as a driver’s license or utility bill) to your session.
Step 2: Complete Training & Build Your Skills
Next, you’ll complete free, hands-on training with our professional podcasting and television production tools. From cameras and audio mixers to editing software and studio lighting, you’ll learn to confidently use the same gear the pros do.
You can also shadow existing productions and volunteer on other members’ shows—helping as a camera operator, sound technician, director, or on-screen talent. It’s a great way to build real-world experience and connect with a supportive community of creators.
Step 3: Create, Collaborate, and Broadcast
Now you’re ready to shine. Produce your own podcast or show using our fully equipped studios. Broadcast your work on community-access television and repurpose your content for YouTube, social media, or your personal website.
