West Lutheran Softball Finishes Runner-Up in Class A State Tournament
West Lutheran softball’s incredible playoff run came up one game short of a Class A state championship as the Warriors fell to United South Central in the Class A title game, 1-0.
The Rebels scored their one and only run in the first inning off a base hit from Grace Walton.
West Lutheran’s Eleanor Rolf kept the Warriors in the game, allowing only three hits and striking out five batter.
WL’s only hit of the game came on a single from Kailey Oppitz in the sixth inning.
USC’s Mariah Anderson struck out 16 batters in a complete game shutout.
