West Lutheran Softball Avoids Elimination with Extra Inning Win over Lester Prairie
The West Lutheran softball team kept their season alive with a 3-2 extra innings win over Lester Prairie in the Section 4A elimination round.
Eleanor Rolf pitched all eight innings for the Warriors. Rolf also scored the go-ahead run in the third inning off a Kailey Oppitz RBI double.
The Bulldogs tied the game in the top of the seventh when Kalle Christen brought in a run on an RBI single.
In the eighth inning, Oppitz again delivered a stand-up double, which was followed by a walk-off RBI single from Marissa Tusler.
The Warriors will now have to beat Braham twice on Thursday in the Section 4A final.
