Big Sixth Inning Leads Providence Academy Softball to Win over West Lutheran
A seven-run sixth inning propelled the Providence Academy softball team to a 13-5 win on the road against West Lutheran on Wednesday.
The Lions were led by Taylor Asche who pitched all seven innings, recording twelve strikeouts and also going 3-for-5 at the plate with 3 RBI’s.
Audrey Rampetsreiter, Isabella Rampetsreiter, and Erin Hemingway also all delivered two RBI’s each.
West Lutheran pulled within one run in the fourth inning when Marissa Tusler ripped a 2-run triple to right field, but that’s as close as the Warriors would get.
West Lutheran is now 11-4 on the season while Providence Academy improves to 11-7.
