Champlin Park Softball Gears Up for Season with Young Talent
The Champlin Park softball team enters the 2023 season with a young roster but plenty of potential.
Just three varsity players with extensive varsity experience return: senior infielder Emma Husom, and a pair of sophomores, pitcher/infielder Reese Reimler and outfielder Ava Parent.
The Rebels were 16-9 and placed third in Section 5AAAA last spring.
Coach Bryan Woodley says this may be the most athletic team he’s had, but knows there may be some growing pains early with so many newcomers to varsity.
The Rebels are scheduled to open the season April 6 against Centennial indoors at the National Sports Center dome in Blaine.
