Champlin Park Softball Beats Irondale
The Champlin Park softball team edged Irondale 3-2 in the second round of the Section 5AAAA tournament.
The Rebels scored single runs in the first and second innings to lead 2-0 for much of the game.
Irondale rallied to tie it 2-2 in the top of the seventh inning.
The Rebels answered with the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh.
Alyssa Blaska’s base hit scored Abby Gilk with the winning run.
Gilk, Alyssa Blaska, and Holly Blaska all had three hits for Champlin Park.
The Rebels meet the winner of Thursday’s Osseo-Maple Grove game Friday afternoon.
