Governor Walz Visits Pop-Up Vaccination Clinic in Golden Valley
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz was in Golden Valley on Thursday to highlight efforts to increase access to COVID-19 vaccines. Golden Valley nonprofit WorkAbilities helped host a pop-up vaccination site. The governor said it’s much needed.
“The way to really get to people is through trusted partners and bring the vaccines to them,” said Walz. “These pop-up and partner sites like the one you’re seeing here are critically important.:

Governor Walz visited pop-up vaccination clinic Thursday in Golden Valley
On Thursday, the Minnesota Department of Health reported more than 2,736 new cases of COVID-19, a figure higher than in recent weeks. Health officials also reported 11 new deaths.
The state’s 7-day average case rate is up to 7 percent, the highest since Jan. 5.
