Governor Walz Announces Free Vaccine Clinics at YMCAs
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has announced a new partnership with YMCA of the North to offer free COVID-19 vaccine clinics. That includes a mobile clinic at the New Hope YMCA.
A mobile vaccine unit will be set up at the New Hope location on Sept. 14 and Oct. 5, both from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome. The clinics do not require any form of personal identification or medical insurance. Masks are required.
The FDA-approved Pfizer vaccine will be offered at the YMCA clinics. The vaccine is available to anyone ages 12 and up.
“Now is a critical time to make sure all of our family members 12 years of age and older are vaccinated to ensure a safe and healthy school year,” said Walz in a statement to CCX News.
Vaccines will be provided in partnership with SpeciaLysts, local public health and MetroTransit mobile vaccine units.

Students get vaccinated at May event at Wayzata High School.
