Two Jailed After Gunpoint Robbery in Brooklyn Park
Brooklyn Park police say they detained five people, jailing two in connection with a robbery Wednesday night.
According to a press release, officers responded to a report of a robbery at 9:14 p.m. in the 5500 block of Brookdale Drive.
Arriving officers spoke to a victim, who reported being robbed at gunpoint by five people. All five had fled the scene of the crime before police arrived, the release stated.
A Minnesota State Patrol helicopter and a Hennepin County Sheriff’s K9 unit assisted Brooklyn Park officers in searching the area.
Five people suspected of involvement in the crime were found and detained.
One of the suspects, a 21-year-old Minneapolis man, is being held in Hennepin County Jail pending charges. Another suspect, a juvenile, was booked at the Hennepin County Juvenile Detention Center.
The remaining three people who were detained have been released from police custody.
