Eight Families Displaced after Plymouth Townhome Fire
An early morning fire at a Plymouth townhouse has left eight families without a home.
Firefighters responded to a building on the 15000 block of 26th Avenue North in Plymouth at 12:33 Monday morning. When emergency crews arrived, they found flames going through the roof of the eight-unit building.
Plymouth officials say everyone was able to evacuate safely, and no injuries have been reported.
The Red Cross was called in to assist the eight families that were displaced.
The Hennepin County Fire Investigations Team is conducting the investigation into the cause.

Plymouth firefighters received assistance from North Memorial Ambulance; Xcel Energy; CenterPoint Energy; the Hennepin County Fire Investigation Team; and the Wayzata, Long Lake, St. Louis Park, Maple Plain, West Suburban Fire District, Minnetonka, Excelsior, Golden Valley and Maple Grove fire departments.
