Authorities Seize Firearms from Brooklyn Park Home, Make Arrests

The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office Violent Offender Task Force announced on Thursday via Twitter that it seized several firearms from a residence in Brooklyn Park.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the VOTF executed a search warrant at the undisclosed Brooklyn Park home for illegal possession of firearms. Authorities confiscated several weapons and made several arrests.

The seizure comes following what the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office calls an “uptick” in violent crimes in Brooklyn Park. CCX News documented those cases during a late July story. It’s not yet known how many, if any, of the VOTF arrests are related to the July cases.
