Driver Arrested After Crashing Into Brooklyn Park Group Home
A motorist was taken into police custody in the early morning hours of April 15 after crashing a car into a Brooklyn Park group home.
According to Brooklyn Park police, officers were dispatched at 3:05 a.m. to a crash at the corner of 77th and Regent avenues.
Arriving officers found that a car had crashed into the bedroom of the home, which operates as a congregate care facility.
The crash caused a gas leak and everyone in the home was evacuated. Brooklyn Park firefighters and CenterPoint Energy later shut off the gas leak.
Police say the driver was treated for minor injuries and arrested.
One person living in the home was also hurt, but police said the injuries were minor.
