Young Heritage Christian Baseball Team Ready for State Tournament Experience
The Heritage Christian Academy baseball team features just two seniors and one junior in their starting line-up.
But this young roster- with three sophomores, two freshmen and one eighth-grade starter- has put together a 17-4 record and a sport in the state Class A tournament.
The Eagles are unseeded and face second-seeded Parker’s Prairie (23-1) in the state quarterfinal round Thursday morning at Joe Faber Field in St. Cloud.
The Eagles say pitching and defense has the key to the team’s success this spring.
This is the first state tournament appearance for HCA since 2018 when they won the Class A title.
