Heritage Christian Academy Baseball Eliminated from Section 4A Tournament
The Heritage Christian Academy baseball team won’t repeat as Section 4A champion.
The Eagles were eliminated from the section tournament in a 10-8 loss to New Life Academy in the loser’s bracket final.
After trailing 1-0 since the first inning, New Life rallied with three runs in the fourth and three more in fifth to go up 6-2.
Heritage responded with a six-run sixth, keyed by Stryker Johnson’s grand slam that put HCA in the lead 8-6.
New Life responded with four in the bottom of the sixth, with a bases-loaded triple by Noah Hahn being the big blow.
New Life takes on Legacy Christian in the section final Thursday morning.
