Wayzata Softball Rallies to Beat Hopkins
Lexi Drasher’s two-run double in the seventh inning helped the Wayzata softball team rally to beat Hopkins 5-4 Monday.
Drasher, who also doubled in the third and fifth innings, finished with three hits and three RBIs in the game.
Hopkins scored three runs in the second inning on run-scoring hits by Mary Foster and Cece Rasmussen.
The Trojans chipped away, scoring single runs in the fourth and fifth innings before completing their comeback in the seventh.
The Royals scored their final run in the bottom of the seventh inning on a sacrifice fly by Rosa Greenwood.
It was the second win by Wayzata over Hopkins this spring.
Both the Trojans (8-10) and the Royals (4-12) finish the regular season this week with section tournament play getting underway early next week.
