Wayzata Girls Soccer Rallies for OT Win
Amya Conway’s overtime goal lifted the second-ranked Wayzata girls’ soccer team to a 3-2 win over eighth-ranked Edina. Conway’s goal came off a Grace Estby corner kick.
After the Trojans’ Summer Seamans opened the scoring in the first half, the Hornets went ahead on two goals from Grace Pohlidahl.
But Wayzata tied it when Seamans assisted Kailee Kohrt on her goal with under 15 minutes to play in regulation.
Wayzata improves its season record to 9-0-1 and hosts unranked STMA Wednesday.
The Trojans also beat the Hornets earlier this season.
