Wayzata Boys Tennis Sweeps Blaine in State Quarterfinals

The Wayzata boys tennis team moved into the semifinals of the state Class AA team tournament with a 7-0 win over Blaine Tuesday morning.

The Trojans won all seven matches in straight sets and didn’t lose a game in any of the three doubles matches.

Wayzata faces Mounds View in the state semifinals Wednesday morning with the championship match scheduled for 4:00 pm Wednesday at the Baseline Tennis Center in Minneapolis.

The Trojans are the three-time defending state champion and number one seed for the tournament.
