Wayzata Boys Soccer Goes Back-to-Back With Section 6AAA Win
The Wayzata boys soccer team claimed their second consecutive Section 6AAA championship with a 2-1 win over Minneapolis Washburn.
The Trojans scored two early goals in the first half– Aiden Judickas followed up on a rebound for the first goal of the game, then Judickas placed a perfect crossing pass to Ben Eisinger, who scored the Trojans’ second goal.
The Millers answered back on a penalty kick from Axel Linares just before halftime.
Neither team scored in the second half, resulting in a second straight Section 6AAA championship for Wayzata.
The Trojans will play their Class AAA state quarterfinal game next week.
Wayzata’s opponent and the location of the game is still to be determined. Seeding for the state tournament takes place Saturday.
