Prep Football Training Camp Report: Champlin Park Rebels
The Champlin Park football team is looking for a bounce back season.
Two years after a Prep Bowl appearance in 2019, the Rebels went 0-9 last season.
The one bright spot is that a lot of young players gained valuable experience.
The Rebels come into camp this fall believing they will be much better in 2022.
A big, talented offensive line that returns three starters will be a key factor.
Offensive/defensive linemen Magnus Wright and Benjamin Nelson will help provide a good foundation up front.
Linebacker Ben Bremer, defensive back/ halfback Arthur Russell, and quarterback Sean Erickson are among the other top returners.
Champlin Park opens the season Thursday September 1 at home against Woodbury.
