Maple Grove Girls Lacrosse Edges Champlin Park to Win Conference Title
Lillian Iverson’s goal with just over three minutes to play gave the Maple Grove girls lacrosse team a 9-8 win over Champlin Park.
The win gave the Crimson a perfect 8-0 Northwest Suburban Conference record while the Rebels finished 7-1 in the conference and 12-1 overall, entering next week’s section playoffs.
Champlin Park led 3-0 in the first quarter, 5-3 at halftime and 7-5 midway through the third quarter before Maple Grove rallied.
Sosie Van Wyk scored two goals while adding five assists for the Crimson.
