Maple Grove Girls Lacrosse Edges Benilde-St. Margaret’s for Section Title
The Maple Grove girls lacrosse team built a big lead, then held off a Benilde-St. Margaret’s rally to earn a 9-7 win in the Section 5 championship game.
Ryley Dunn’s goal with one second left in the third quarter gave the Crimson a 7-3 lead heading into the fourth.
BSM made it interesting with four goals in the fourth but their comeback hopes ran out of time.
Maple Grove is in the state tournament for the first time since 2021 and seventh time overall.
