Maple Grove Girls Golf Rolls to Section Title

The Maple Grove girls golf team easily won the Section 5AAA team title Thursday, finishing 61 shots ahead of second place Rogers.

Payton Anderson of Maple Grove won the section individual title, shooting rounds of 74 and 72.

Abby Stendahl of Maple Grove shot a sizzling 67 in round two to finish second, one shot behind Anderson.

Annika Hendrickson placed fourth and Emerson Soderberg sixth for the Crimson.

Maple Grove was state team champion in Class AAA in 2023 and 2024 before placing second in 2025.
