Maple Grove Girls Golf Rolls to Section 5AAA Title
Two-time defending state champion Maple Grove rolled to a win at the Section 5AAA girls golf tournament, finishing 80 shots ahead of runnerup Spring Lake Park.
Maple Grove’s Emerson Soderberg tied for second with a two-day total of 151.
Bella Leonhart of Forest Lake won the individual title.
Also for Maple Grove, Carly Hamman placed fourth, Abby Stendahl fifth, and Payton Anderson and Annika Hendrickson tied for sixth.
The state tournament is June 10-11 at Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids.
