Maple Grove Girls Finish Second, Wayzata Third at State AAA Golf
The Maple Grove girls golf team finished second and the Wayzata girls third in team competition at the State Class AAA tournament in Coon Rapids.
Minnetonka won the championship, beating two-time defending state champion Maple Grove by 19 shots. Wayzata finished 20 strokes behind Maple Grove.
Alyssa Raghuveer of Benilde-St. Margaret’s was the top local individual, tying for second place.
Lauren Chambs of Wayzata tied for sixth place while Abby Stendahl of Maple Grove tied for 10th place.
A trio of local players tied for 13th— Carly Hamman and Annika Hendrickson of Maple Grove and Sylvia Seiffert of Armstrong.
