Maple Grove Boys Soccer Waits as Snow Pushes Playoffs Back
The Maple Grove boys soccer team is the top seed for the Section 8AA tournament.
The Crimson and other local teams will have to wait at least a day to play their section semifinals.
Heavy snow Tuesday caused Section 8AA and many other sections to postpone games to Wednesday.
Maple Grove is 10-1-1, and they are set to host St. Michael-Albertville Wednesday.
A balanced team that is solid throughout the lineup for Maple Grove has them optimistic about defending their section title.
They won’t have a chance to play for a state championship this fall due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
