Maple Grove Boys Soccer Holds Off Anoka, Clinches Northwest Suburban Conference Title
The Maple Grove boys soccer team earned their 12th win of the season with a 2-1 victory over Anoka and in doing so, clinched the Northwest Suburban Conference title.
The Tornadoes scored the first goal of the game on a penalty kick from Tristian McGowan in the 32nd minute.
The Crimson responded in the second half with goals from Colin Ames and Everett Johnston.
With the win, Maple Grove is now 12-0-1 on the season, with their only non-win coming in a scoreless tie to Andover.
