Maple Grove Boys Soccer Falls to Edina
The Maple Grove boys soccer team fell to top seed Edina 4-0 in the state class AA quarterfinals.
After Edina controlled play early, Maple Grove battled back and the game was scoreless at halftime.
Edina broke the deadlock with 25:30 to play as Will Swanda scored on a header after a long free kick.
The Hornets pulled away with three more goals from there to advance to the semifinals.
Maple Grove ends the season with a 13-4-3 record.
