Maple Grove Boys Soccer Falls on the Road to Edina 2-0
In a match-up of the top two ranked boys soccer teams in Class AAA, Maple Grove lost their first game of the season, falling to Edina on the road 2-0.
The Crimson came into the match 5-0 and ranked first in the state, but couldn’t find the back of the net in either half.
Edina scored both of their goals in the first half. The Hornets got on the board in the 15th minute on deflected goal from Andreas Engle. Lucca Roevde capitalized on another deflected goal for the Hornets in the 33rd minute.
Maple Grove will look to bounce back against Waconia this weekend.
