Maple Grove Boys Soccer Blanks Osseo 1-0 in 5AAA Semifinal
The Maple Grove boys soccer team scored a 1-0 victory over Osseo in a rainy and windy Section 5AAA semifinal match.
Scoring opportunities were far and few between due to the weather conditions, but in the 64th minute Frank Miller scored on a free kick in what turned out to be the game-winning goal.
Maple Grove (16-0-1) now moves onto the Section 5AAA championship, in which the Crimson will host Champlin Park (11-4-1) Tuesday, October 17th at 7:00 pm. The Maple Grove girls play at Spring Lake Park that same night in their section final.
Osseo ends its season with an 8-5-4 record.
