Maple Grove Beats Centennial in Key Girls Lacrosse Contest
The Maple Grove girls lacrosse team scored a key win Monday, beating Centennial 11-6 for a share of first place in the Northwest Suburban Conference.
The Crimson scored eight goals in the first half to build an 8-4 lead on the way to the win.
Dani Key and Becky Goetsch each scored three goals for the Crimson.
Maddi Bast added two goals.
Brigit Goetsch made 11 saves for Maple Grove.
Callie Cody had five of the six goals for Centennial.
Maple Grove is now tied for first in the NWSC with Champlin Park. Both teams are 6-0 in conference play.
