Local Track and Field Student-Athletes Compete at Section 7AAA True Team Meet
High school track and field student-athletes from Wayzata, Hopkins, and Armstrong were among those who competed Wednesday at the Section 7AAA True Team meet.
Armstrong’s Ava Mack placed first in the shot put with a throw of 38-04.
Katie Kelzenberg of Wayzata took first in the discus with a toss of 141-10.
Maddie Gullickson of Wayzata won the girls 1600m, clocking a time of 4:55.46.
In the boys 400m, Henry Risser of Hopkins earned top marks with a time of 48.77 seconds.
The Wayzata boys took home the team title, scoring 885.5 points.
Minnetonka won the girls 7AAA championship with a score of 978.
