Hopkins Softball No-Hits Wayzata to Win Section 6AAAA Tournament
Signe Dohse allowed no hits and just one walk while striking out 11 as the Hopkins softball team shut out Wayzata 9-0 to win the Section 6AAA tournament.
The top-seeded Royals (17-7) did not allow a run in the section tournament on the strength of four shutouts from Dohse.
The Royals scored three runs in the first inning and at least one run in every other inning except the second.
Delaney Lindstrom hit the only homerun of the game.
Hopkins is 11-1 in its last twelve games and will find out this weekend their opponent for the state quarterfinals.
The state tournament is June 9-10 at Caswell Park in North Mankato.
