Cooper Football Ready for State Semifinals
The Cooper football team is getting ready for its first-ever appearance in the state semifinals.
The Hawks meet Mahtomedi in the class AAAAA semis Friday at 2:00 at U.S. Bank Stadium.
Cooper is in the state playoffs for the second time in school history. The first was in 1996.
The Hawks rallied from a 17-7 halftime deficit to beat Alexandria 21-17 in the quarterfinals Saturday.
Mahtomedi advanced with a 42-20 win over Rochester Mayo in the quarterfinals.
