Champlin Park Volleyball Sweeps Maple Grove to Advance to Section Final
The Champlin Park volleyball team swept Maple Grove in the Section 5AAAA semifinals to advance to the section final.
The match got increasingly closer as the night went on.
Champlin Park cruised to a 25-13 win in the first set, and held off a Maple Grove rally to win set two 25-22.
Champlin Park seemed to be in command in the third before Maple Grove battled back to turn it into an epic set.
The Rebels prevailed 32-30 to get the sweep.
They meet top seed Wayzata for the Section 5AAAA title Wednesday at Osseo High School.
The Rebels lost to the Trojans, who are undefeated this season, in four sets during the regular season.
