Champlin Park Baseball Preps for State Tournament
The Champlin Park baseball team bounced back from a loss to Maple Grove in the first game of the Section 5AAAA championship round to earn a 6-3 victory in the second game, sending the Rebels to this week’s state tournament.
Champlin Park is seeded seventh for the class AAAA tournament.
They meet Northwest Suburban Conference and District 11 rival Andover in the quarterfinal round Wednesday morning at 10:00 at CHS Field.
It’s the fifth trip to the state tournament for Champlin Park and first since 2017.
