Big Fourth Inning Powers Champlin Park Baseball Over Irondale
An eight run fourth inning propelled Champlin Park baseball to a 12-2 Section 5AAAA opening round playoff win over Irondale.
The Rebels took the lead in the bottom of the second after Cal Ockuly drove in a run on an RBI single.
Christian Dull scored two more in the fourth with a single to right field.
Then later in the fourth, a bases clearing double from Alex Berg really put the Rebels over the top for good.
Champlin Park will now host Maple Grove in the second round of the 5AAAA tournament on Thursday at 4:30.
