Champlin Park Baseball Aims for Repeat of ’25
The Champlin Park baseball team made the state tournament for the first time since 2017 last spring.
With several players returning, expectations are high for the 2026 season.
Nearly a dozen players with varsity experience are back for Champlin Park. The Rebels won Section 5AAAA and reached the semifinals of the state tournament last June.
Among the returning players are a quartet of senior pitchers- Josh Henchen, Evan Nordby, Donovan Vende, and Tanner Wylie. Other key returners include outfielder Rhys George, and infielders Luke Carlson, Christian Dull and Caleb Greer plus catcher Cal Ockuly.
Champlin Park is 2-1 so far this season with their next home game scheduled for Thursday evening against Armstrong.
