CCX Sports Spotlight: Joe Russell, Cooper Football
Our CCX Sports Spotlight shines Cooper quarterback Joe Russell, a three-year starter for the Hawks.
Russell is a student of the game and has a great relationship with his strong receiving corps.
He’s become a more vocal leader this fall, and teammates say his halftime talk at the Armstrong team sparked the Hawks to a 49-14 win.
Russell is getting a lot of recruiting interest from colleges, but some project him at positions other than quarterback.
Joe says he’d like to play quarterback in college but will play anywhere his team needs him.
