Two Months After Opening, Brooklyn Park Apartments Still Await Mail Delivery
Residents of a new Brooklyn Park apartment complex have been enjoying all of the amenities that come with a new building with one notable exception: they haven’t received any mail.
“Don’t know what role the city plays with the post office, but any help getting this resolved would be greatly appreciated, as the residents aren’t receiving any of their mail,” said Kevin Duffy, a resident of the Tessman Ridge Apartments, as he addressed the Brooklyn Park City Council last week. “Especially with tax season, and the property management company has been having issues not receiving bills and rent checks.”
Tessman Ridge opened in December, but Duffy says the U.S. Postal Service needs to install a specific lock in the building’s mail room. There’s a work order in place, but residents are still waiting for the project to begin.
“I would like to say the post office has been very understanding and empathetic and apologetic in this situation, but it seems like they’re struggling with creating this work order system,” Duffy told the council. “The last time we spoke with them, they recommended we reach out to the Congress member of our district and city council.”

Tessman Ridge opened in December. The property is located at 7100 85th Avenue N. in Brooklyn Park.
Meanwhile, in a statement to CCX News, USPS spokesperson Desai Abdul-Razzaaq said:
The Postal Service is committed to providing the best possible service to our customers and we apologize for any inconvenience that may have been experienced. The Brooklyn Park Post Office has identified and is working towards a prompt resolution to this issue. We appreciate everyone’s patience, as we work towards a remedy.”
