Three Rivers Park District Displays New ‘Thankful for Parks’

You can see photos from this year’s “Thankful for Parks” photo contest currently on display at Eastman Nature Center.

“The idea was to give an opportunity for everyday people, folks that maybe they went for one walk and saw something special and snapped a picture to share that with everybody,” said naturalist Elaine Tucker.

You can see the photos from now until Dec. 19.

Birds are a focus on this year’s contest, as a nod to Three Rivers Park District’s focus on birds during 2022.

“With this season of thanks, we could combine these areas of beautifying a little bit during this quiet time and give everybody a chance to share beauty from year-round and say how thankful they are for parks,” said Tucker.
