Selfie Stations Open in Downtown Maple Grove
Everyone loves a good selfie, and in Maple Grove, visitors now have a couple of places where they can snap photos of themselves and win prizes in the process.
Two new selfie stations popped up this week near Main Street and Arbor Lakes Parkway.
It’s part of a campaign by the local tourism organization Experience Maple Grove to create a winter wonderland along the shopping corridor.
There’s a hot cocoa mug outside of Three Squares restaurant, and adjacent to Maple Grove City Hall, you’ll find a hockey stick and puck.
People are encouraged to take photos by the sculptures and post them on social media.
“The hope is that they’ll come out with their family and friends, enjoy downtown Maple Grove and everything it has to offer,” said Anne Anderson of Experience Maple Grove. “Jump in, get a photo, #ExperienceMaple Grove, #IceCastlesMG, and we’re doing a bunch of giveaways for ice castle tickets and other fun stuff this winter. So yeah, make sure you follow and tag us.”
Experience Maple Grove worked with the company, TivoliToo, out of Mendota Heights to produce the selfie stations. The sculptures will likely be up through March.
