Robbinsdale Approves New Water Tower Design
The Robbinsdale City Council put the final stamp of approval on the design for a new water tower that will be located near Highway 100 and County Road 81.
Construction is expected to begin on the new tower in 2021.
After some discussion, the tower will have the city logo and the Robbinsdale robin.
“This is a structure that’s going to be standing there for a long time,” said Richard McCoy, public works director. “We want to make sure we get the decoration correct.”
The new tank will hold approximately 750,000 gallons of water and will make sure the city has enough water at an adequate pressure level.
The old water tower isn’t going away. It will remain where it is as a historic artifact and landmark.
