Plymouth Trailhead Building Nears Completion
A new gathering place in the city of Plymouth that will connect people to nature is nearing completion.
Crews are putting the finishing touches on the new Trailhead building, which is part of Plymouth’s Northwest Greenway nature preserve.
Plymouth city officials say the open-air pavilion will host gatherings such as weddings and other events like 5K races.

Crews work to install seating at the new Plymouth Trailhead.
The building sits along Peony Lane, just north of Wayzata High School, and provides parking and easy access to several miles of paved trails for walking, biking and scenic overlooks.
“So it’s kind of a nice place to start, park, grab your bike, hiking shoes, whatever, and then end up back here,” said Paul Buck, Plymouth city forester.
The city hopes to have a grand opening for the Trailhead building in the fall.
