Osseo’s Central Avenue Improvements Take Another Step Forward
The Osseo City Council moved forward on a project that would repair sidewalks and install crossings on Central Avenue. The project would replace disintegrating pavers and install flashing lights at two pedestrian crossings near city hall.
The sidewalk in front of Steeple Pointe senior living property would also be replaced.
The cost for the reconstruction is just over $400,000.
The Osseo City Council voted this week on how to pay for the project, which involves assessing property owner Steeple Pointe. The city will pay for the city hall block using grant money to help offset the city cost.
