Open Houses Start Next Week for Bottineau Blue Line Extension Project
The next steps toward moving forward the Bottineau Blue Line Extension project start next week.
Several in-person open houses will be held as well as virtual community meetings. Blue Line project staff will take feedback on potential station locations.
The newly proposed alignment will greatly impact Robbinsdale because the route is now planned to go down the middle of County Road 81. That’s due to a lack of agreement to share rail corridor with BNSF Railway.
The first community open house will take place in Robbinsdale on Monday, July 19, at United Church of Christ with meeting times from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Other open houses in the northwest suburbs on the Bottineau Blue Line Extension project are as follows:
Brooklyn Park – Wednesday, July 21
- 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Brooklyn Park Library
Crystal – Monday, July 26
- 6 p.m. to 8 pm.
- Becker Park in Crystal
There will also be virtual community meetings. The Metropolitan Council provided details at this link.
