Maple Grove Opens Cricket Pitch at Boundary Creek Park
City officials cut the ribbon at the new cricket pitch at Boundary Creek Park in Maple Grove on Saturday. The park is in the northeast part of the city.
A few minor vandalism incidents slowed down construction, but the pitch is now open.
After the playable season, the pitch will be closing in October to repair the turf. Cricket has become more popular in recent years.
Brooklyn Park currently has two pitches and has plans for more.
