Maple Grove Farmers Market Moves Inside
The weather might have turned colder, but you can still enjoy the beautiful bounty of the summer. That’s because the Maple Grove Farmers Market has moved indoors.
The market is now taking place at the Maple Grove Community Center for a few select dates during the fall and winter.
“One of the things that surprises folks is that we do still have a lot of beautiful, fresh produce,” said Kirsten Weigle, manager of the market.
There are more than 25 vendors featured and that includes several that call the northwest suburbs home.
“We love the indoor market because it really extends the marketing season for the small market and growers and food makers that we work with,” said Weigle. “They like to have an income year-round in the offseason, just as everyone does. It’s another way we can really support those small businesses and help them to thrive.”
The Maple Grove Farmers Market will feature an indoor market just for Thanksgiving on Nov. 23.
