Longtime Maple Grove Public Servant Bob Burlingame Dies
Bob Burlingame served Maple Grove for more than 40 years, starting first as a police officer in 1962. After serving as police chief from 1967 to 1992, he was mayor from 1995 to 2001. Burlingame died on April 29 at the age of 93.
Burlingame also helped host the annual Maple Grove Days parade every summer.
According to his obituary, Burlingame passed away on April 29 due to complications with diabetes. His funeral will be Tuesday in Maple Grove.
