List of Local Suspects Charged After Burglary, Riot Arrests
Here’s a look at suspects charged and incidents during height of civil unrest from May 28 to May 31, according to jail and court records. The arrests and incidents occurred following the May 25 death of George Floyd. The persons arrested listed by city of residence.
Brooklyn Park Arrests
- Queensarauniya Beard, 24 of Brooklyn Center, arrested May 29 by Brooklyn Park police, charged with 3rd-degree burglary, 3rd-degree riot
- Chylen Evans, 22, of Minneapolis, arrested May 29 by Brooklyn Park police, charged with 3rd-degree burglary, 3rd-degree riot
- Uriel Guzman, 33, of Inver Grove Heights, booked May 30, arrested by Brooklyn Park police, charged with 3rd-degree burglary
Minneapolis Police/HCSO Arrests
- Shabakah Owens III, 26, Brooklyn Center, arrested May 31 by Minneapolis police for probable cause riot, charged with curfew violation
- Deztiny Glass, 20, Brooklyn Park, arrested May 30 by Minneapolis police for probable cause riot, charged with curfew violation
- Michael LeBlanc, 30, Brooklyn Park, arrested May 31 by Minneapolis police for probable cause riot, charged with curfew violation
- Ashley Miranda, 24, Crystal, arrested May 30 by Minneapolis police for probable cause riot, charged with curfew violation
- Kristjan Jesmer, 26, Osseo, arrested May 30 by Minneapolis police for probable cause riot, charged with curfew violation
- Leah Overbaugh, 28, Robbinsdale, arrested May 29 by Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office, charged with unlawful assembly
Suspects Awaiting Charges in Brooklyn Center Burglary Cases
Damage at Brooklyn Center’s Shingle Creek Crossing
Brooklyn Center police also tell CCX News that the city has either arrested or identified 13 suspects following criminal damage to property and burglary in that city. Charges have not yet been filed in those cases. CCX News continues to report on the damage to the Shingle Creek Crossing shopping area.
A CCX News review of Hennepin County 89 jail records late Saturday, May 30, and again Sunday morning, May 31, when the list had grown to 107 showed most of the suspects are from the Twin Cities, with many of them from Minneapolis. A handful of suspects were listed as addresses from Michigan, Missouri, Florida, Alaska and Illinois.
